Kindly note:
The Presidents and Captains have precedence on the first tee. Members should be familiar with “The Rules of golf”. The section on Etiquette and Courtesy on the course is essential reading for all golfers. It is important that members read the Notice Boards regularly to familiarise themselves with competition, handicap, local rules and social event information. The amenities of the course and clubhouse should be treated with respect. The locker rooms should be kept tidy at all times. Items of clothing or golf equipment left behind will be removed to storage, the club accepts no responsibilty for loss or damage of such items. Remember: A golfers place on the course is immediately behind the group in front. Not just ahead of the group behind. If a player fails to keep pace with the group in front, and in distance one clear hole emerges, they may be passed on request being made by those behind him/her. If refused the guilty party should be reported to the committee.
Scoring: After each hole the marker shall check the score with the competitor. The competitor is solely responsible for the correctness of the score recorded for each hole. All cards should be marked and signed before entering the clubhouse. Competitors must return and are responsible for the return of their cards in all competitions. Scores should not be disclosed to other competitors until the final results are obtained.
Non Competition Golf: The Rules of Etiquette for competitive golf should be observed. A single golfer has no standing on the course. A two-ball match has precedence and is entitled to pass a three or four-ball match if there is a clear hole ahead. If a match fails to keep its place on the course and loses more than one clear hole on the players in front, it should invite the match following to pass. No player should play until the players in front are safely out of range. Always remember to replace divots, repair pitchmarks and rake bunkers.
