Liam Burke rounded off a very successful year as Phyxer Captain with his Captains Prize last Friday evening.
110 golfers played on a glorious day for golf. There was a large turnout in the clubhouse that night for presentations
where many Phyxers showed that they can sing better than they can play golf !
There was fine golf played however and the winner of the 14 hole competition was Michael Connaughton .   Tony O’Malley was second , Ian Smyth was 3rd and John O Brien was 4th, Sean Kenny.  Pat Healy won the Phyxer of the Year for the third year in a row and Thomas Brose Walsh won the Joe Langan Memorial Matchplay competition sponsored by Joey Mc Donnell.
The non Phyxers Section was won by Joe Beirne , Sean Martin won the Visitors prize and Susanna Kenny won the ladies section.
Michael Mongan was installed as the incoming Phyxer Captain and Pat Morley Vice Captain.
